Actually my question was a 2 parter the door won t open i took apart the opposite door to identify screw clip placement then after removing seat took off interior trim panel realized no access to lock took out speaker reached inside no access disassembled opposite door outer panel for visuals on door guts found where lock cam is cut hole in locked door inside can now see lock cam move. On my jetta if you don t lock the doors with the remote then all doors lock except the drivers door. Replace it with the new door lock actuator.

The drivers door lock module is has failed in some capacity.
