Jesus Paralytic Roof

The bible says that after digging through the roof the men lowered the mat that the paralyzed man was lying on down to where jesus was.

A hole in the roof. They had come from every village of galilee and from judea and jerusalem. B mark 2 1 12. One day jesus was teaching and pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there.

4 being unable to get to him because of the crowd they removed the roof above him. The ceiling is crumbling a bit and everyone stops and looks up to see what s going on. Imagine listening carefully to jesus when all of a sudden you hear something coming from above you. C luke 5 17 26.

5 and jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic son your sins are forgiven 6 but some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts 7 why does this man speak that way. Jesus heals a paralytic at capernaum. And the power of the lord was with jesus to heal the sick. Since they were unable to get to jesus through the crowd they uncovered the roof above him made an opening and lowered the paralytic on his mat.

B it was noised that he was in the house. C 17 and it came to pass on one of those days b when he entered again into capernaum after some days c that he was teaching. The attempt to get the paralytic in front of jesus called for extreme measures that included moving tiles on the roof which indicates that the house was owned by a wealthy man because most roofs were made of clay or straw and lowering their friend down to jesus.
